The Johannus LiVE 2T and 3T are top-of-the-range digital organs with a standard layout. The 2T has 44 stops and the 3T 52, but there is something exceptional about this standard layout. Although physically static, it can be used dynamically.
Every organist dreams of playing a real pipe organ. But very few have such a pipe organ at their disposal day and night. The Johannus LiVE 2T and 3T merge dream and reality. Now you have the most beautiful pipe organs in the world in your living room.
This is because the register buttons can have different layouts, depending on the pipe organ you choose.
To give you an example: the Prestant 8' register button can correspond just as well to the Montre 8' of the Cavaillé-Coll organ in the Church of Notre-Dame d'Auteuil in Paris as to the Prestant 8' of the Bätz organ in St Martin's Cathedral in Utrecht.
Johannus designed this standard layout based on a representative sample of pipe organs from around the world. In other words, we analysed the layouts of dozens of international pipe organs and noted which stops were most frequently found in all of them. These include stops such as Prestant 8', Flûte 4' and Trompette 8'.
Description
On the Johannus LiVE 2T and 3T, you can download sample sets from dozens of pipe organs around the world. Special sample sets have been developed for this purpose. The sample banks are loaded onto the organ using a USB key. Each USB key contains authentic, professional recordings of a specific pipe organ. These sample banks contain a large number of unique stops from these organs. In addition, various stops selected from Johann Strauss's
Johannus sample library have been added to these original stops. The result: each sample set for the Johannus LiVE 2T contains exactly 44 stops, while the sample sets for the 3T contain 52 stops. The majority of these banks come from the original pipe organ, with a smaller proportion being supplemented by stops in the spirit of the original pipe organ and corresponding to its character.
