Description

Play yourself on world-famous pipe organs
Sweelinq brings pipe organs to life !
Sweelinq is a Virtuel organ sampler. Like Hauptwerk, they create recordings of world-famous pipe organs. The biggest difference, however, lies in the payment method; with Sweelinq, payment is by subscription. Hauptwerk offers individual sample sets for which you pay a fixed price per sample set.

After the recordings have been made, they are combined into a sample set. A sample set is therefore a collection of recordings (samples) of a specific organ. This sample set has an extension with which these sounds can be played via the Sweelinq software. The above-mentioned recording process requires a lot of time and effort, but thanks to this (time) investment, organists all over the world have the opportunity to play famous and lesser-known pipe organs in their own living room!

With the Content Cambiare series, Content makes it possible to play Sweelinq. These organs offer an optimal sound experience, ease of use and reliable quality.

Essential elements to get the most out of Sweelinq sample sets!
What you need to play Sweelinq
1. first you need a computer.

A Sweelinq sample set consists of a combination of many recordings. For each pipe, each stop (combination) and at different locations in the room. As soon as you activate a stop and press a key, many actions are triggered simultaneously. This naturally increases when you play with several stops or polyphonically. Only a powerful computer is able to facilitate this ‘communication’ smoothly and without interruptions. At Content Organs, we only work with the most powerful (octa-core) computers, and our colleagues constantly keep up to date with the latest developments in computer technology.

2. a reliable, durable and solid organ case is important for years of playing fun.

In addition to the software, a sample set and a powerful computer, an organ case is of course also required. This can vary from a simple ‘console’ arrangement to a beautifully designed organ. The desired arrangement and composition will of course depend on your personal preferences. It is important that the parts used in the assembly of your organ are of high quality. The choice of keyboards and their ‘touch’, the setting of the pedal, the wood used for the organ case and other important elements.

A Hauptwerk organ case can be the basis for your playing pleasure for more than 25 years - even after updating sample sets or computers! Content Organs works with reliable partners when putting together its organ cases. All organ cases are assembled and built by a Dutch cabinet maker. We also build our organs according to the current BDO or AGO standards. Very reliable!

3. operation of your Sweelinq organ via touchscreen or stops

In addition to choosing the right software, computer and organ case, it is also important to think about the best operating method. After all, the Hauptwerk software on the computer needs to be operated. This can be done using large touchscreens, physical stops or a combination of both. When choosing touchscreens, it is important that they have a very high sensitivity, because even in the heat of playing the organ you want to be able to re-register quickly. Content Orgeln uses high-quality touchscreens that are also used in the automotive industry. There, road safety is the top priority, which requires a very high sensitivity rate.

4. Last but not least: For the right sound experience, a good audio system is invaluable.

When experiencing a pipe organ sample set, the quality of the playback is of course crucial. It is a shame to spend money on a sample set that cannot be reproduced well. A good audio system includes the right amplification settings, a high-quality sound card and high-quality (passive) speakers.

Content Orgeln also works with its own audio protocol, which converts digital recordings (software) into analogue audible sounds without any loss of quality. This means that we apply strict criteria when selecting audio materials and develop as much as possible in-house. For example, Content uses its own amplifiers in its Cambiare organs in combination with an innovatively designed passive HQ audio system. Only the best is good enough.

Content Organs offers high-quality Hauptwerk organs for every budget!

With its Sweelinq series, Content Orgeln offers complete solutions in which all of the above elements are realised with the highest quality and an attractive price-performance ratio. This way you can be sure that a Sweelinq organ from Content will give you years of reliability and playing pleasure !

Various differences and similarities.

Digital organ or a Sweelinq organ?

First of all: at Content, both organ options are available to you!
Thanks to our many years of experience (since 1980), we have extensive knowledge of church organs, audio systems, amplification and optimum sound reproduction. Both solutions are of high quality.

An important difference is the way in which the sound is produced. With a Sweelinq organ, you play pre-recorded samples that were recorded in the church in question. These recordings were made in recent sample sets at various locations in the church, whereby it is also possible to determine the playback position yourself. In this way, you can hear the organ exactly as it should sound in the selected church room. In this way, you can bring a famous church to life in your living room. Listen to our samples to get an impression!

With a digital organ, pre-recorded samples from different churches are combined into four different organ styles (North German Baroque organ, Dutch Romantic, French Romantic and the English Symphonic sound world).

Each organ style has its own sample library with so-called ‘clean source samples’, from which a selection was made when compiling the dispositions of a digital organ. These ‘clean samples’ are recordings that reproduce the pipe organ sound as purely as possible (i.e. without spatial effects).

Together, this results in an ensemble of samples that represents the respective organ style. As the organist, you have control over how these samples sound in the church. For example, you can set the position in the church, add or remove reverb, apply tunings, beats and many other options digitally to the existing source sample. In this way, you can play an organ in your living room that has been completely customised and set up to your liking!

It goes without saying that personal preferences and taste play a major role in the choice between a Sweelinq or digital organ. For both solutions, FNX Organs is always the right address. We will be happy to advise you!’
